Quick morning sketch

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from digital artwork.

Work in progress

Maybe I'll color her up, maybe not.  This is from a big book of Wes Anderson stills that is a really fun reference. I loved Moonrise Kingdom.

Get Well Soon!

For a friend with a golden.  He does not like the cone of shame.

Yellow Roses for Texas

I love a good excuse to use the state of Texas- it's just such a great shape.

Carter Creations-branding mockups

Whenever my mother and aunt work together on a creative project (they've written & illustrated at least 2 kids books so far) they call it, 'Carter Creations' with the tagline, 'Always the finest.'  When I wanted to practice my branding and company identity skills, I knew just what to call the business.

This is a jewelry and gift store because I couldn't find a better image using wrapping paper than the one above.  Overall I think it came out nice.  These prints are not recent and I was surprised how modern they came out with just a little recoloring.

And here's my earlier, rejected logo.  I thought it was just too difficult to read, even though I love that 80's style font.

Cards of encouragement

Some words of encouragement, in case you need them today!

Happy Easter!

Hope it's a great day!  I couldn't decide on a background for this bunny-cat, so here's a few!

How to get a beach body in just two steps!

Step two will shock you!

All bodies are good bodies and everyone deserves to have fun in summertime!
I loved making this little character- I feel like she needs her own little cartoon or something.  I'm sketching up a little character sheet with different poses and facial expressions; expect to see more of her!

Hope you're having a great day!
